The need
A Loyal Companion for the Journey Forward
Veterans and military families may encounter complex questions about service dogs, companion dogs, training, access, cost, housing, and daily support. Good intentions are not enough. The dog, the person, and the surrounding systems all need to be understood.
Veterans K9 Mission™ does not promise that a dog will resolve a health condition or replace clinical care. It creates a clearer path through information, referrals, responsible preparation, and community connection.
The Certified Dogviser™ at the center:
Every program is designed, delivered, and supervised by a trained professional who guides, educates, organizes, connects, and supports.- Dog welfare governs:
Animal welfare and participant safety must always come before placement goals.
- Open to everyone:
Volunteers, mentors, sponsors, and donors can participate. Participation does not require buying anything.

The Certified Dogviser™ helps the veteran describe the goal, distinguish between service, assistance, and companion-dog pathways, organize questions for qualified providers, identify practical barriers, and coordinate follow-up.
The Dogviser™ does not replace veterinarians, trainers, therapists, attorneys, or other licensed professionals. The Dogviser™ organizes the journey and connects people with the correct specialists.

What research suggests

Veterans Affairs resources describe service-dog research as an evolving area and distinguish the roles of service dogs, emotional support animals, and companion dogs. Some studies report promising associations, but individual outcomes vary and professional care remains important.
A Dogviser™ cannot promise access to a service dog, funding, clinical improvement, or a particular training result.

- The dog’s welfare and the veteran’s safety are considered before any placement or recommendation.
- The program does not diagnose PTSD, provide psychotherapy, or guarantee behavior or health outcomes.
- Where the right support is not available, the Dogviser™ says so and refers onward.
